037A

Room 37A measures 2.9 x 2.5 m. The east wall and floor were painted with a red hematite-based paint during the San Juan occupation. Twelve strata were identified in Room 37A: two floor complexes, a burned roof-fall layer, two trash deposits, and post-occupational fill were found. Seven features were found in 37A including a hearth, two niches, the wall dividing 37A and 37B, and the painted floor and wall. The hearth and lower room remains indicate a habitation function for Room 37A.
